Scott's Story
From the time I can remember I went to church. At the age of nine I prayed and asked God in to my life. All I knew then was that heaven was a good place and that hell was not. The problem for me was that I just added God to my life. I went in to my teenage years still attending church on Sunday but living my life the way I wanted to the rest of the week.
At age twenty-two I married Shelley and life was good. Not long after that we stopped attending church from lack of interest and I was living life totally for myself. Then my marriage started falling apart and I came to the realization that the decisions I was making for my life were not working. It was at that point that I called out to God for his help. I let go of my life and asked God to take control of my decisions.
I surrendered control of my life completely to Jesus. My marriage was restored and I came to understand the importance of the church and letting others help me walk through life. No matter what life throws at me now I have security that God is in control.
