Cathy's Story

Cathy SchorahI was brought up in a family where everyone is a Christian and having Jesus around makes a real difference to how they all live their lives. I attended church and Sunday school from birth and even knew my bible fairly well.

However, when I was about eleven I realised that I had to make my own decision about whether Jesus Christ really did live and whether he died on a cross and came alive again. I had to decide whether there is a God and whether he should be made number one in my life.

I talked to God and asked him to forgive me for the things which I had done which made him sad and then I asked Jesus to come into my life. Into that bit of me which couldn't be found in a medical text book!!

Now I try to live my life as the bible suggests. I find it totally relevant and it really helps me to sort stuff out. I tell God he is great and try to put him first in my life. I love being part of the church as they are all like family. Life is not always easy and we need each other to help us through.
